Our Belize Adventure Week package combines many of our favorite activities in inland Belize, based on over 2 decades of exploration. This vehicle-based sport activity trip includes whitewater kayaking, underground kayaking, ziplining, waterfall rappelling, and an exploration of a Mayan ruin. You have the option to only do the jungle portion (4 nights), or a jungle – island combo package (8 nights).
Some of the jungle activities can be done on your own, and these pages offer extensive information for the independent traveler. We also offer several of these activities as one day tours to groups of 8 or more. These jungle adventures are the only one day tours that we offer, because our island is too far away to visit for only one day.
When planning a self-directed Belize trip, you are going to have to stay somewhere. We created a map of all Belize jungle resorts to help you plan your vacation.
Visit our Belize Sports page for a list of all the sports we offer.
Our Belize Adventure Week trip takes us through an area rich in archaeology. We explore Xunantunich for an afternoon during this action-packed itinerary. Xunantunich is perched high on a hill with a view to Guatemala. This complex was a major ceremonial center during the classic period of the Maya. We also offer this one-day tour for groups of eight or more. For more information about other Belize Mayan ruins visit this page on our site.
There are some fantastic hiking trails in Belize, although much of the hiking you are most likely to experience is actually on the way to another activity, such as a Mayan ruin or Mayan ceremonial cave. Our Belize Adventure Week 4- or 8-night package includes hiking to Xunantunich Mayan ruin, hiking incorporated with running the Caves Branch River, and hiking on the way to the Antelope Falls waterfall rappel.
The only place to go waterfall rappelling in Belize is at Bocawina National Park. Slickrock combines this with ziplining and includes this great one-day event in our Belize Adventure Week package. However, a visit to Bocawina is available to all travelers and you can hire a rappelling guide on site.
Bocawina National Park has a multitude of opportunities in a small area. Ziplining is one of the options. The park is home to the longest zipline in Central America with a seven stage course. Slickrock combines this with waterfall rappelling for a fantastic one-day activity as part of our Belize Adventure Week package.
Belize is famous for its extensive cave systems, many of which have been the focus of major expeditions. The crystalline dripstone formations of Belize rival any worldwide. Cave exploration excursions in the 1970’s and 80’s discovered the second largest underground room in the world in a cave of the Chiquibul system in the western part of the mountains, putting Belize on the map for extraordinary caves.
