Beautiful Beachside Cabanas

Beach Cabanas on Long Caye

Featured on the cover of Outside magazine, our Long Caye Resort Belize was built to preserve the island in its natural state, and our Belize beach bungalows are rustic by design. Guests love their beachfront cottages, each complete with a porch overlooking the Caribbean Sea. You can look out over your favorite snorkel site, and swim there right from the beach.

Island Camping – Belize Bungalows On The Beach

Long Caye Adventure Camp is an off-the-grid Belize family resort powered by renewable energy and a great place to relax. Our spacious island (13.5 acres) and rustic facilities ensure your comfort without compromising the adventure of living on an undeveloped and uncrowded island.

Everyone stays in huts on the water, perched right above the surf. Each Belize cabana has beds in the main part of the cabin, and a large porch with hammocks and lounge chairs. Luggage benches and a small closet are provided and the cabins are lit with solar-powered lights. The cabanas are on the windy side of the island; on the lee side lies one of the best beaches in Belize, with all of the sport toys rigged right there and ready for you to hop into the water. Whether you want to kayak, surf, swim, paddle, or sail, we’ve got the gear for you.

You’ll notice that the windows on our Belize lodging cabanas don’t have screens and we don’t use mosquito netting. This is because the island has been maintained so as to not provide breeding areas for mosquitoes, in addition to treatment.

No air-conditioning is necessary since the everpresent breeze keeps the temperatures well below what they are on the mainland. There is no plumbing in your beach cabana, for a complete description of bathroom facilities visit our Island Facilities page.

Our Belize accommodations come complete with mattresses, linens, blankets, and pillows.

We have seven double-bed Belize bungalows and the rest have two or three single beds. Most of our cabanas sleep 2, but some sleep 3 and some sleep 4; one duplex sleeps 6. Families of 3 will be roomed together, depending on the ages of family members.

Double occupancy is a necessity when trips are full, so single travelers may be roomed with another single traveler of the same gender.

We cannot reserve specific cabanas in advance as the trip leader must consider the needs of everyone in the group before assigning cabanas.

And don’t forget, a hammock with your name on it is waiting under the palms.
